-Analyze project requirements, create control system architecture, and develop PLC logic diagrams to control machine functions.  The main software that will be used  is Siemens, but the applicant will be more successful if he is versed in more languages, i.e. Allan Bradley, Codesys, Omron and Delta.

-Write and implement PLC code using ladder logic, function block diagrams, SLC or other PLC programming languages to control machine operations. 

-Thoroughly test PLC programs to identify and resolve errors, ensuring system functionality and safety. 

-Configure PLC hardware, including input/output modules, communication networks, and peripheral devices. 

-Integrate PLC systems with other automation components like HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) and SCADA systems. 

-Diagnose and resolve PLC system malfunctions, perform updates, and provide ongoing technical support. 

-Create detailed documentation of PLC programs, system layouts, and technical specifications. 

-Work with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and ensure successful implementation. 

-Understanding of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and industrial control systems. 

-Good knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and their integration with PLC control. 

-Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. 

-Effective communication with engineers, technicians, and other team members to clarify requirements and explain technical concepts. 

 

The successful applicant must/be:

-have a good knowledge of the Automotive Industry

-have quite a few years experience in Projects

-a good problem solver

-willing to work irregular hours

-able to do stand-by, without anything hindering him/her to go on a breakdown.
